Kenneth Chamberlain, Sr., a 68-year-old African-American Marine veteran, was fatally shot in November by White Plains, NY, police who responded to a false alarm from his medical alert pendant.The officers broke down Chamberlain’s door, tasered him, and then shot him dead. Audio of the entire incident was recorded by the medical alert device in Chamberlain’s apartment.  News Story here: There is a petition here started by Mr. Chamberlain Jr, to make sure the audio tapes of what happened are delivered to the Grand Jury - please take a moment and sign, friends.  This is sick and disgusting and justice needs to be served. There is not enough attention currently being paid to this man’s tragic murder - let’s get this out there, people. Let’s make this happen.

A straight, female coworker to me upon learning that I, a male, had a
boyfriend.  I said, “No” and walked away, confused.  I don’t have any
interest in shopping or clothing, much less being a “gay best friend.”
It makes me angry that just by coming out, I can instantly be
transformed into a romantic comedy stock character even when someone
had seen me as a real person prior to knowing that I’m gay. (via microaggressions)
